FUN THINGS TO DO

Tubing: Float the lazy river on tubes available for rent at the camp store. Tubing is often the most popular activity at the resort and is a perfect way to relax and cool off on those hot summer afternoons. Generally, the Sevier River is knee deep in the wide places, chest deep to an adult most everywhere else, with a few holes that are over your head, just perfect for cannonballs! The current is such that a good swimmer swimming against the current can just stay in one place. In the summertime, the water temperature is around 70 degrees. There are numerous coves and backwater eddies and some developed beaches where, with supervision, the smallest of children can splash around safely.

Beaches: We have a number of beaches; each is slightly different from the others. Whether you have little children who will want to make sand castles and run through the wooded trails or older ones who want to work on their tans, one will be perfect for you.

Fishing: Fish from the bank for trout, catfish, perch and, of course, carp or tube in the Sevier River or travel to nearby Yuba Lake, where you can fish from your own boat or jet ski.

Paddling: The river meanders for over two miles through the resort and is perfect for canoeing and kayaking. The resort store rents kayaks, and canoes, along with tubes at very reasonable prices for a day or just a few hours.

Hiking: Enjoy the river walk for your morning cardio or an afternoon stroll. Trails go for miles in many directions, each with unique scenery and abundant wildlife.

Boating: Bring your boat or jet ski and ride, kneeboard, or waterski on nearby Yuba Lake, or better yet, ask directions and go on an excursion to see the ancient American petroglyphs on the northeast shoreline.

ATC Riding: While ATC riding within the resort is forbidden, there are numerous fun areas nearby. Stay at the resort and relax in or near the water and let the riders ride.

Airsoft, paintball, or squirt guns: If you have young people, they will likely notice that the surrounding Tamarask forests seem to have been designed with paintball or airsoft battles in mind. Bring your own guns.

Other activities: Misty River Resort boasts a wide variety of other activities from horse shoes to badminton and skeet shooting, from kite flying to mountain biking. Golfing in nearby Nephi (23 miles) or Fillmore (35 miles).
